Valve decided to do a surprise switching out of the sports casters of this major international event by substituting them with puppets! It blew up Reddit! It was so much fun! It was kept super under wraps until the last minute, even the sportscasters themselves didn’t know until tech. There were seven in all.

Puppeteers were Zane Exactly, Amy Escobar, Rachel Jackson, Sann Hall, Ben Burris, Gina Wilhelm

The puppeteers had to do live lip syncing as the sportscasters themselves were on the floor behind them doing their schtick
